Week 5 Top 10

Not too much movement this week with 4 of our top 5 winning, 3 of them doing so convincingly.
  1. Xaverian (4-0) - Two shutouts in four games, none coming against cupcakes.  This team is for real.  Wk 4 Ranking - #1
  2. Everett (3-0) - When you can dominate a team as talented as Barnstable, and hold a quarterback as explosive as DJ Crook in check, you deserve to be considered a favorite to win the state title.  Wk 4 Ranking - #2
  3. Brockton (3-1) - Their comeback against SJP showed the Boxers' depth and resolve. Wk 4 Ranking - #3
  4. Gloucester (4-0) - The only bump in this road may come in week 8 when they visit Lynn English.  Wk 4 Ranking - #4
  5. Catholic Memorial (4-0) - The Knights seem to keep getting better.  I'm excited to watch them work this weekend against Western Mass powerhouse Longmeadow.  Wk 4 Ranking - #6
  6. St. Johns Shrewsbury (4-0) - With every blowout, this team looks more and more like ready to hoist a banner.  Wk 4 Ranking - #7
  7. Wachusetts Regional (4-0) - Showed they can win close games with their effort against Milford last weekend. Wk 4 Ranking - #8
  8. Methuen (3-1) - A shutout to match last week's impressive win solidifies this team's place among the best. Wk 4 Ranking - #9
  9. Chelmsford (4-0) - Slowly becoming one of the more well-rounded team in the stateWk 4 Ranking - #10
  10. King Phillip (4-0) - Their one-two punch of Chris Cacciola and Charles Ruffin pace our Top 10 newcomer.  Wk 4 Ranking: NR
Knocking on the Door: Falmouth (4-0),  Weymouth (4-0), Reading (4-0), Lynn English (3-1), Mansfield (3-1)
