Four to Watch Re-Cap

Here's how our four to watch made out this weekend.
  • Vondell Langston, RB/LB, Everett - I said he was capable of wreaking havoc, and wreak he did.  Langston seemed like a man amongst boys at times.  He ran in his usual punishing fashion, and was able to put some solid hits on the Xaverian backs.  The more I see him, the more convinced I become he can be a top 10 player in the region.
  • Randall Jette, QB/DB, Martha's Vineyard - Not what I (or anyone else) expected to see.  Somerset played like a team possessed, and not even MV wasn't able to slow them down.  The Blue Raiders were able to put the clamps on the Vineyarders' option attack, then use their Wing-T to rack up close to 400 total yards.  Expect other teams with MV on their schedule to mimic the aggressive attack Somerset used to slow Jette.
  • Isaiah Penn, QB/WR, Newton North - Penn isn't the signal caller for the Tigers anymore, but if he had been, they may have had an easier time moving the ball against the Wildcats.  North was able to get him the ball in space a few times from his receiver position, but because little else seemed to be clicking, the effect was minimal.
  • Bartley Regan, QB, BC High - Great job by Regan yesterday.  He connected on a 1st quarter touchdown pass, and was able to control the tempo of the game.  Could be a huge turning point in his progression, as he made better decisions and seems to be gaining confidence.  The Eagles could be picking up steam at just the right time.
