9/13

While we'll use the ESPNBoston.com rankings from time to time (as we did going into week 1), we prefer to put our own stamp on things. So without further adu, here is the first ever ADFC Top 10.

  1. Brockton 1-0 Beat #5 BC High - This team is stacked. At this point, there is no better defense in the state.

  1. Everett 1-0 Beat Leominster - You'll hear about Costello and Asprilla, but this squad has a whole lot of young talent. Come to play if their on your schedule.

  1. Xaverian 1-0 Beat Malden Catholic - The last time Xaverian lost, I was in college. I wish I could tell you that wasn't that long ago.

  1. Gloucester 1-0 Beat Swampscott - Blue collar football at its finest.

  1. BC High 0-1 Lost to #1 Brockton - Yes they lost. Yes they're young. But sleep on BC High and your loss column will grow. As Bartley Regan improves, this team will become increasingly tougher to beat. And ask Brockton's running backs if this defense likes to hit.

  1. Catholic Memorial 1-0 Beat Lynn Classical - There are maybe three teams with the talent in the secondary to contend with juniors Armani Reeves and Camren Williams. Their signaler caller A.J. Doyle aint too shabby either.

  1. St. John's Shrewsbury 1-0 Beat Holy Name - Holy Name is a good team. St. John's dropped forty on them on their way to a shutout win. Scary, scary bunch of kids.

  1. Billerica 1-0 Beat Burlington - Disciplined and hard nosed. And their quarterback's pretty good, too.

  1. Barnstable 1-0 Beat Durfee - No one in the state throws a prettier ball than D.J. Crook. Junior D.J. Crook.

  1. Wachusett Regional 1-0 Beat Doherty - A little known team with a boat load of talent. Look for them to climb once the 3 Catholic Conference teams start to square off.
